A family summer festival in one of Ireland’s most stunning locations
Drink in the joys and beauty of the Summer at the Inistioge Summer Festival this June Bank Holiday Weekend. Located between Thomastown and New Ross this stunning village is set in the heart of the beautiful Nore Valley. Aside from its amazing scenery, the village is steeped in history. When you’ve finished your nature walks and sightseeing along the river Nore relax with a fantastic meal in a local restaurant or sink a pint of the black stuff in one of the village pubs.
The Inistioge Summer Festival theme revolves around traditional outdoor entertainment for the family in an unrivalled magical location. It’s all about fun, healthy pursuits, good food, great crafts and lots of activities for the kids!
Saturday 4th June
A 3km Family Fun Run organised by the Nore Valley Athletic Club will kick-off the festival. There are prizes for the funniest hat, fastest buggy and best egg and spoon. Registration is at 2.30 at the Rock Road in the village.
Entry is €5 for adults - free entry for children.

Eat drink and be merry
On Sunday there are food and drink stalls aplenty. Catering for every budget, the stalls include a Summer BBQ, teas with locally produced homemade treats in the marquee, gourmetfood and dessert stalls.
And of course...
There are the obligatory festival staples for kids - face-painting, guess the weight of the lamb, stilt-walkers, stocks, supervised bouncy castle etc.
CHILDREN enter the festival for FREE, adult entry is €7 (€5 for concessions) and many of the activities during the festival are free.
Free open-air concert
To wind down (or wind up – whichever takes your fancy), the infamous Fourpenny Rock will perform a free open- air concert in the Millennium Garden in the heart of Inistioge village, kicking off at 6.00pm
About the festival
The Inistioge Summer Festival is run by the local community. All proceeds go directly to the development of the Inistioge community centre. The festival is part of the Kilkenny Community Festival Network which comprises six festivals within County Kilkenny. The Inistioge Summer Festival is supported by Kilkenny Leader Partnership.
