Graignamanagh Fun Run
24/04/2013
We are pleased to invite you to participate in our annual Fun Run which takes place in Graignamanagh, Co. Kilkenny on Sunday 2nd of June 2013 at 2pm, with all proceeds going to the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind.
This event is in its third year, and up to this point, we have raised €14,000 for the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind. This organisation provides a vital service for the blind, visually impaired, and families of children with autism. Currently the Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind have a three year waiting list for Assistance Dogs and the list had to be closed to new applicants last January. Therefore they need urgent help in clearing the backlog of families desperately waiting for Assistance Dogs and reopening the programme. The Irish Guide Dogs for the Blind and their Assistance Dogs programme transforms the lives of families of children with autism but they need an urgent injection of funds to bring more puppies into the programme and help more children.
With this in mind we hope to raise €5,000 which would support a puppy through the first twelve months of its Assistance Dog training. Please help us to do this by encouraging your club members to take part in our 10k run.
