Cois Abhann to be Opened by The President
12/09/2011
The long wait is over! The GAA / Community Centre building has been completed and The President of Ireland, Mary McAleese will arrive in the village on Monday 12th September at 3.30pm to unveil the plaque which declares the official opening.
The committee has chosen the Irish name Cois Abhann ("By the river") for the building.
Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the activities. In order to cater for the expected large crowd, the action will be taking place at the rear of the building. Musical entertainment will be provided from 2.30pm. The road will close for a time from 3pm and the President is due to arrive at 3.30pm.
Plans are being put in place for the big day. If you'd like to help out in any way, please get in touch on 086 384 0062 or info@inistioge.ie
