Rodney & Deirdre Doyle's country restaurant is set on the edge of the beautiful village of Inistioge overlooking the Nore river.This unique family run restaurant has great charm, with a fire burning in the Kilkenny marble fireplace, where Deirdre's warm welcome and Rodney's accomplished cooking using local produce, ensure a relaxed and enjoyable evening.

Rodney Doyle has been a member of Euro-Toques since 1992. He opened his first restaurant, Rodney's Bistro, in Cabinteely in 1995. He moved to south Kilkenny in 2004 and is Chef/Proprietor of The Motte Restaurant. He has competed in national and international culinary competitions,  acheiving many awards and was a member of the award winning Irish team in London's Hotelympia. He has been nominated for 'Best Chef in County' award in the Irish Restaurant Awards 2010. The restaurant has also been nominated in the 'Best Restaurant' category.
