Fishing Season Opens

The new season got off to a good start down in Inistioge and well-known angler Tom Cullen caught and released the 1st spring salmon on the Nore. The fish was about 7lb and was caught on a flying "C" spinner at 11:00am. Well done to Tom.
A new bye-law for the river Nore has been passed, you will find it on the Southern Regional Fisheries Board's web site (www.srfb.ie). The river is in good condition and at a good height for fly-fishing.
